Confidentiality Guarantee

By signing up with the National Refugee Teachers Database, Refugee Council has guaranteed that it will hold your details securely. Your details will be stored online in a password protected document, or in hard copy in a locked location. These details are shared and fully accessible to all members of the Refugees into Teaching project.

As part of our service, we often refer people to other agencies that can further support you. Before we refer your details, you will be asked verbally for your agreement in forwarding these details. The Guidance Worker will also name the organisation we are forwarding your details to. If you decline the referral, we will not send your details to the named organisation.

Your personal details, along with any verbal or written communication with the project, are also confidential. However, in cases where the Guidance Worker, or another member of the Refugees into Teaching project, have serious concerns about your wellbeing, or the wellbeing of someone referred to in correspondence, will they contact the relevant authority, as they must do this by law.

If you have any questions or concerns about confidentiality, you can contact the project at any time, and we will be happy to help.
