Expanding service provision in the North of England
Refugees into Teaching will shortly be expanding its service provision in the North of England by developing relationships with a number of key organisations. In particular, we will be expanding existing provision in South and West Yorkshire, and starting services in the North East and North West. This is in response to the growing number of teachers in these areas that have been in touch with the project, and responding to evidence that there could be many more. At present the project is planning to commission organisations to offer one of the following services in support of the RiT project:
1)Delivering support groups
2)Running mentoring activities
3)Establishing voluntary school placements
Preferred suppliers already working closely with RiT in Yorkshire and Humberside and with specific skills and experience in supporting refugee teachers in this region have already been identified. In the North East and North West we intend to advertise and invite tenders in response to the activities we wish to commission in these areas. We will be posting more information when these new services are confirmed.
