PGCE 2010/2011 Application Process now open
If you are looking to apply for a PGCE starting in September 2010, the application process is now open.
If you are looking to apply for a PGCE starting in September 2010, the application process is now open. The Graduate Teacher Training Registry (GTTR) is the admissions service which processes all applications across the UK. The application process is all done online through their website, where you can search for a course by location, level and subject, send in an application and track the progress of your application. The table below shows the important dates coming up to think about when applying for postgraduate study. It is best to apply as early as possible for the course or courses you are interested in doing. To be considered for a PGCE, you need to have GCSE A*-C or equivalent in English, Maths and Science, a university degree or equivalent, and some teaching experience in a UK school.
What is clearing?
Clearing is the part of year when applicants who haven’t been successful in their previous applications, or have been late in applying, can still be able to find a place at university. Any universities that still have unfilled places will advertise these in the media, particularly the Times and Guardian newspapers.
For further information, please visit the GTTR website on www.gttr.ac.uk
