Have you used the new TDA services on offer specifically for refugee teachers? RiT have trained 3 advisors at the TDA to deal with the kinds of enquiries that refugee teachers have. Are you looking looking for a school placement in the coming months? We have a number of schools in the London area on our database and could contact them on your behalf if you are interested in a placement. Please send your cv to rit@refugeecouncil.org.uk, together with an indication of the type of school (primary/secondary), subject area and location would be best for you.
We cannot guarantee you a placement, but we will try to find something to suit your needs. Please also note that as the Refugees into Teaching scheme has officially ended and is just being maintained by volunteers, we will be unable to either pay travel expenses, or support you during your placement. Having said that, we may be running a pre-placement training session if we have enough interest from clients.
Please note that unfortunately this opportunity is currently only for those teachers in the LONDON area.
