This website aims to give refugees a guide on how they can become teachers in the UK.
- Our online tool 'Your path to a career in education' provides an assesment of your experience and needs and gives detailed information on what paths you can take to get into teaching.
- By filling out your own personal assessment form, you can access an online library of information on what your next steps should be.
By filling in the form, you are also registering onto the Refugees into Teaching database which means you can also access a wide range of services, including agencies providing support in your region.
Data protection information
Your details will be collected by London Metropolitan University and will be submitted to the Refugees into Teaching database which is stored and looked after by the Refugee Council.
In line with the Data Protection Act 1998, the Refugee Council will securely hold the personal data on an electronic database and in hard copy. We will use the information stored on this form to contact you on how the project can help you. Your details will be shared with our partners and other voluntary and statutory organisations relevant to the project. They will also be used for the compilation of monitoring statistics, and held for the duration of the project.
